Ms O'Connor has over 15 years of research and evaluation experience. She has a prior background in operations and implementation of multi-site urban and international educational studies in over 15 US cities and 40 countries, Ms O'Connor has been working closely with the international partners in developing the Communities Interventions for Health initiative since its inception in 2005. She is particularly interested in the epidemiology of chronic disease in developing countries and measurement issues in assessing complex interventions addressing tobacco use, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity. Other interests and expertise include maternal and child health as well as health and educational disparities, both locally and internationally. Ms O'Connor is currently completing her doctoral degree in Chronic Disease Epidemiology at Yale University School of Public Health.
